Laird Technologies Releases New Maxblade Internal Wireless Device Antenna

Wireless Antenna Augments Wireless Applications with Wide Bandwidth

St. Louis, Missouri, USA – April 21, 2010 – Laird Technologies, Inc., a global leader in the design and supply of customized performance-critical components and systems for advanced electronics and wireless products, today announced the release of its new Maxblade internal wireless device antenna.

The antenna operates in the 2.3-6 GHz WiMAX frequency band with gains of 2.1 dBi and 4 dBi. Specifically designed to be embedded inside devices for aesthetically pleasing integration with high durability, the antenna features wide bandwidth that augments wireless applications with a single antenna design including 802.11 a/b/g, 802.16, and Bluetooth®. Its polarization provides a vertical and omnidirectional radiation pattern at all frequencies with increased gain in the upper bands for optimal coverage.
