In the past decade, the factory automation industry has transformed many processes from people-powered ones to automated ones. The adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies will impact previous methods by digitalizing and simulating physical systems. Virtual models that predict how a process will behave under specific conditions are used to optimize designs and improve efficiency. However, historically those simulation models lack the use of real-time data, focusing on preset conditions and parameters which may not fully represent the dynamic nature of the factory floor.
