Recap of electronica Trade Fair 2012

In mid-November, the Connectivity Products Business Unit (CPBU) of Laird Technologies® exhibited at electronica, the 2012 International Trade Fair for Electronic Components, Systems, and Applications. The show, which took place in Munich, Germany brought together many suppliers, partners, and customers from all over the world. electronica reported that there were more than 72,000 visitors from 78 countries in attendance.

There was a buzz surrounding the Wireless area of the show, where CPBU exhibited its Wi-Fi®, Bluetooth®, and RAMP solutions to positive reviews from visitors. The show provided an ideal opportunity for CPBU to preview new products currently in the development pipeline-this included new RAMP 2.4 GHz devices, high output Class 1 Bluetooth modules, and a speak peek at a single mode BLE module. The BLE module proved to be a major highlight for the CPBU team and helped underline the increasing demand for new low power wireless technologies with the embedded electronics space.

The show also enabled CPBU to strengthen many of its existing supplier and customer relationships. Due to the quantity and quality of its exhibitors and attendees, electronica is not a show to miss.
