C Library Example Demonstrates RM024 Serial Communications

The Connectivity Products Business Unit (CPBU) engineering team has produced a C Library that enables embedded engineers to create software to communicate efficiently with the RM024 platform. The C Library includes several examples for utilizing basic AT commands as well as more advanced commands for reading and writing the RM024 EEPROM and for performing RM024 Firmware upgrades. This library will make incorporating the RM024 platform even easier for embedded programmers.

Part of the Laird Technologies® RAMP (Range Amplified MultiPoint) module series, the RM024 is a 2.4 GHz Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum radio module capable of transmitting at up to 500kbps at distances greater than four miles. RAMP modules are capable of transmitting serial data over long distances in point-to-point networks. RAMP modules are designed to be interference tolerant in the world-wide 2.4 GHz unlicensed band and are used in applications ranging from wireless serial cable replacements to large sensor networks.
