3 New Android Apps for Laird's BL600 Modules

Android Apps for Laird's BL600 Modules This week, Laird released three new Android apps for the BL600 BLE series modules. Check out the new apps, available for download from the Google Play Store:

  • BL600 Serial- The Laird BL600 Serial App allows text data to be sent from an Android device to a Laird BL600, single-mode BLE module and back again. This application can be used to remotely control the device through the use of AT commands.
  • BL600 OTA- Program Laird BL600 modules remotely with this new Over the Air (OTA) application. Remove the cables by wirelessly programming the Laird BL600, Bluetooth Low Energy module with the new smartBASIC programming language.
  • BL600 Batch-  The Laird BL600 Batch App enables you to send scripts wirelessly over the air to the Laird BL600, single-mode BLE module. These scripts can be custom-made and use AT commands to control the module remotely.
