The Sterling-LWB is based on the Cypress (formerly Broadcom) 4343W chipset and supports Wi-Fi and dual-mode Bluetooth wireless connectivity. This fully certified and field-proven solution is ideal for products utilizing either a Linux or embedded processors using WICED and comes in three development options to best address specific customer applications. The module also features an industrial temperature rating (-40° to +85° C) and an industry-leading breadth of certifications and antenna options. Laird offers two development boards, which come with the option of a pre-integrated chip antenna or a U.FL and an SD card form factor for simple integration with platforms such as NXP’s (formerly Freescale) popular i.MX6 series. Developers also have the option of the Sterling-LWB for WICED reference platform which provides a very simple and fast way to add both Wi-Fi and BLE v4.1 connectivity to your microcontroller-based design utilizing the power of Cypress’ robust WICED software development kit. All are fully supported by our design services division with varying levels of support including customization and integration assistance.
