LSR to Host Webinar on Antenna Selection and Implementation

The antenna is an integral part of an RF product's real-world performance. LSR, a Laird Business, will be hosting a free webinar and Q&A session which will walk through a number of practical tips and best practices to keep in mind when selecting and implementing an antenna solution. Titled, Designing for Success: The Engineer's Approach to Antenna Selection and Implementation, the webinar will feature LSR's Jay Gillette, Senior RF and Antenna Engineer and Carl Turner, RF Engineer. The webinar was hosted on July 19th, 2016 at 12pm EST.

The webinar will focus on the following topics:

  • Defining Antenna Requirements - What performance should one expect from their antenna? LSR will discuss typical antenna requirements to use as a baseline for your product development.
  • Deciphering Antenna Datasheets - As is common within engineering, not all component datasheets are created equal. LSR will discuss antenna datasheets and highlight the key parameters to look for and cut through the extraneous or misleading information.
  • A Typical Antenna Design and Evaluation Process - LSR’s antenna engineers will discuss common simulation, prototype, and over-the-air evaluation techniques that are used on their product designs.
