Laird Technologies® Akron Office Achieves ISO 9001:2008 Certification

The Laird Technologies® site in Akron, Ohio, U.S.A. has been awarded an ISO 9001:2008 quality management system (QMS) certification by an external certifying authority, the British Standards Institute.  The certification is proof that the QMS of the former Summit Data Communications® headquarters, now the main office of the Laird Technologies Connectivity Products Business Unit (CPBU), is in compliance with the requirements of the ISO standard 9001:2008. The office passed two rigorous on-site audits to achieve this certification.

The ISO 9001 certification signals that CPBU is committed to instilling a culture of quality and continual improvement so that we can deliver the highest quality products and services to our customers. The scope of the ISO certification for the Akron office encompasses all activities performed at the location relating to the design and delivery of wireless radio modules and associated software as well as delivery of regulatory certifications and support services for products and software. The QMS includes a quality policy, design and development controls, customer satisfaction surveys, preventive and corrective actions, document controls, regular management reviews, and internal audits.
