Introducing our New Antenna Selector Tool

Find the Perfect Fit

When it comes to searching for the right antenna for your application, the degree and variety of choice can be overwhelming. At Ezurio alone, we provide over 1500 distribution-ready antenna parts for nearly any wireless application. We offer antennas for Public Safety, IoT, M2M, Wi-Fi, Cellular, Bluetooth, GNSS, RFID, and more. They’re available in a number of housings, mount styles, and form factors. Many antennas support multiple frequencies and protocols with multiple ports.

With all of this in mind, it can be difficult to navigate what the best options are for your design. Ezurio's (formerly Laird Connectivity) new antenna selector tool can dramatically simplify that process, showing you just the options that meet the requirements for your design. It’s never been easier to find just the right antenna for your exact specifications.

In this blog post we’ll look at the antenna selection tool and how it can help you save time, focusing just on the options that are right for you and your application.

The Antenna Selection Tool

Our new antenna selector is built to help you start with your known requirements and refine our extensive product listing down to a narrower and narrower set of products that meet your needs. It allows you to select based on certain criteria (industry type, wireless specification, gain, and more). It’s located at https://www.lairdconnect.com/rf-antennas/find-antenna.

The splash screen on the page identifies the three easy steps that help you find your ideal antenna:

  1. Select filter options on the left side of the page to narrow down antenna results to meet your criteria
  2. Sort the results by any column to help organize your options
  3. Compare multiple antennas and select the options that meet your needs.

On the left-hand side of the screen, you’re given multiple filter options. Start with your known, hard-and-fast requirements for your antenna design. For example, if you’re certain you’re looking for an IoT antenna, click to roll out the Category filter and click IoT/M2M. If you know your application requires an internally-mounted antenna, you can then click to roll out the Antenna Type filter and then click Internal / Embedded to filter. These two selections reduce the full 1500+ parts list down to 22 parts which may be relevant to your application.

From there, you can click Frequency (MHz) at the top to sort the remaining antennas by their supported frequency ranges. This group the antennas and reveal which support the lowest and highest frequencies, further helping identify which might be right for your wireless design. By comparing antennas side-by-side it’s much easier to make a careful decision about what antenna is just right for your needs.

For example, in this case, it becomes immediately apparent that the EFF6925A3S-15MHF1 supports a wider range of frequencies in the low band (down to 698 MHz) where other internal IoT antennas do not.  It also supports the highest frequencies (all the way up to 2500 MHz). If these wider frequency bands are important to your application, you’ve just identified the perfect antenna to support it.
